RISE Cowley Receives First Pathways Pledge

WINFIELD, Kan. (May 15, 2018) — RISE Cowley, people promoting healthy lifestyles, received its first pledge for Pathways to a Healthy Kansas, a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas initiative.


RISE Cowley steering committee members gathered to present Patrick Bloedel, MD and office manager Molly Jones with a certificate. By signing the pledge, the general surgery and endoscopy office has committed to taking steps toward providing the healthiest possible environment as a healthcare provider.


In 2017, Cowley County was named among eight Kansas communities for the largest community grant program ever funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. The organization that facilitated the Pathways grant, RISE Cowley, promotes healthy lifestyles by collaborating to raise awareness and encourage involvement for residents of Cowley County.

Pathways to a Healthy Kansas is the largest community grant program ever funded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas.
